Keep what matters. Consider the gold you no longer wear.

Most jewellery boxes hold two kinds of gold: the pieces that matter, and the pieces that haven't been worn in years. Keep the first kind. The second kind is sitting there at today's gold price doing nothing.

What people usually find

  • Chains and bracelets from a past decade's style
  • Rings from a previous relationship
  • Single earrings whose partner is long gone
  • Gifts that were never quite right
  • Inherited pieces with no sentimental attachment
  • Broken items set aside "to repair one day"

What it's worth

Gold is priced by weight and purity, not by fashion. An unworn 9ct chain, a dated 18ct ring and a single 22ct earring all count. Use the estimator on our Gold Prices page for a rough figure; a typical jewellery-box clear-out of 20–30 g of 9ct and 18ct pieces is often worth more than people expect.

Only the pieces you choose

Send what you're ready to part with and nothing else. You get an itemised written offer with every piece listed, and you can accept all of it, decline all of it, or tell us to return particular items. Declined items come back by tracked post at no charge.

Sentimental or possibly valuable?

If something might be worth more as jewellery (a signed designer piece, an antique, a significant diamond), we'll say so and suggest an independent valuation. We would rather you kept or sold it properly than sold it to us for scrap.

How to start

Download the free seller guide, pack the pieces in a padded bag with the signed declaration, and post tracked to PO Box 5165, Mordialloc VIC 3195. Full steps are in the self-send instructions.
